Surrendered Plans, Steady Paths

Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”

Reflection
Life today is filled with endless decisions, distractions, and pressures to succeed. From work deadlines to family responsibilities, it’s easy to rely on our own strength and forget that God longs to be part of every detail of our lives. This verse reminds us that our plans don’t truly find stability until they are surrendered to Him. When we commit our ways to the Lord—not just in words, but in trust and action—we invite His wisdom and direction to guide us.

So often, we think we must control every outcome. Yet God’s promise here is not about us striving harder but about releasing our plans into His hands. Trusting Him means letting go of fear when things don’t unfold as expected, knowing His way is higher and His timing is perfect. In a world that pushes independence, God calls us into dependence—into partnership with Him where our work, dreams, and choices align with His will.

Application
What is one area of your life right now—work, relationships, finances, or health—that you need to commit fully to God? Write it down, pray over it, and choose to place it in His hands today.

Prayer
Lord, I bring my plans, worries, and desires before You. Help me to release control and trust Your wisdom above my own. Establish my steps and guide me in the way I should go. May everything I do bring honor to You. Amen.

Takeaway
“When I commit my plans to God, He brings stability, peace, and purpose to my path.”
